In their latest move to keep revenues in the black, credit card companies have begun to hit customers with rate increases and new annual fees. This all comes before the Credit Card Act of 2009 takes effect in February 2010. In order to get as much money out of their customers as possible before the new regulations take effect, the big banks are taking new, underhanded steps to take more of your hard-earned money away.
If on your next monthly statement you see that your interest rate has jumped without cause, or if your credit card company has tacked on some suspicious additional fee, investigate before making any payments. Save all your statements, and any documents that pertain to your account. If you have been treated unethically there may be cause for a class action lawsuit.
How Do I Know If I Have Cause for a Lawsuit?
If you think you have a valid case for a credit card class action lawsuit, you should contact a Massachusetts class action attorney right away. An attorney will hear your complaint, and begin to investigate the reasons for your claim. If you do have a valid case, they will initiate a Class Action Complaint in the proper court of law.
