February 26, 2010 - Boston - A Franklin resident was lucky to escape serious injury in an accident that could have had fatal consequences. According to TheBostonChannel.com, Bernie Roskott was driving on Neponset Street shortly after 2 a.m. on Thursday when his SUV was hit by an object that fell from a bridge.
The object landed on the hood of Roskott's SUV. Police are not sure if the object fell from the bridge, as it was not immediately apparent that the bridge was missing any pieces. The other possible explanation is that the object was thrown from the bridge, but police had no evidence that this was the case.
We understand that the Boston Police Department's Accident Division is looking into this accident. However, even while the police are investigating Thursday's incident, we suggest that those injured consider consulting a SouthCoast, Massachusetts personal injury lawyer.
