February 4, 2010 - Falmouth - A hit and run accident that occurred early this morning sent two people to the hospital and snapped a utility pole in half.
According to reports on
ABC6.com, a vehicle lost control and struck a utility pole on Sanwhich Road, snapping the pole completely in half. When the occupants of that vehicle got out of the car, another vehicle drove into the downed utility lines, which then became entangled and struck the victims of the first accident. The second vehicle then took off.
Police told reporters that the hit and run vehicle is a dark-colored Jeep Liberty that would have some front-end damage. Police were able to recover a headlight from that vehicle at the scene of the car accident. The two injured victims were transported to Falmouth Hospital with unknown injuries.
