
February 25, 2010 - Spencer - Four people, including three children, were injured on Wednesday when a dump truck crashed into a minivan. According to reports in the Telegram & Gazette, the accident occurred around 8:30 a.m. on Route 9 in Spencer.
All of the injured victims were in the minivan, which was broadsided by the dump truck as the van attempted to merge into traffic. The dump truck was driven by 58-year-old David Henshaw, who was not injured in the crash. The driver of the minivan, 32-year-old Angela Herrie, suffered serious personal injuries, and first responders were forced to use the "jaws of life" to extricate her from the vehicle. Her three children were also injured. All of the victims were taken to UMass Memorial Medical Center, where their conditions are currently unknown.
