Mortgage Deficiency

What is a mortgage deficiency? Andrew Garcia explains in the 6th episode of "2nd Marriage Estate Planning."

Answer: The difference between the mortgage amount, in this case regarding a short sale, and the sales price. If you have a mortgage amount of $200,000.00 and a sales price of $150,000.00 then your deficiency is $50,000.00.
