One Injured After Car Falls Off Cliff in Lynn
February 19, 2010 - Lynn - One woman was injured on Tuesday when her car fell off a small cliff in Lynn. According to reports in The Daily Item of Lynn, 62-year-old Maria Faria was trying to park her Honda Civic when it accelerated, crashed through a yard and a fence on her property, and then fell off a small cliff onto Amero Lane.
Police believe weather may have played a part in the car accident, as snow was falling heavily shortly after 4 p.m. on Tuesday, when the car crash occurred. First responders worked for some time to extricate Faria from her vehicle, which landed on the roof. She was treated for a neck injury at Massachusetts General Hospital, but she is expected to survive.
