Pedestrian Struck by Elderly Driver in Gloucester

March 3, 2010 - Gloucester - A 47-year-old man suffered personal injuries on Saturday when he was hit by a car while walking on Norman Avenue in Gloucester. According to the Cape Ann Beacon, Mike Blair was walking single-file on the road with his girlfriend, Carolyn Nazzaro, when he was hit by a dark car. Fortunately, Nazzaro was not hit or injured in the car accident.

The driver who caused the pedestrian accident fled the scene, leaving Blair on the side of the road with a broken arm. Several days later, a woman called Blair and said that she was the driver in the hit-and-run accident. The driver, who has not been identified by police, is elderly and says that she thought she hit an animal.
