
March 15, 2010 - Wareham - Seven people, including five children, were injured Saturday in a car accident in Wareham. According to reports at NECN.com, two vehicles were involved in the rollover accident, which occurred Saturday morning on Route 25.
Police have not released details on what caused the car crash, but initial reports indicate that a GMC Suburban and a Toyota Avalon collided, causing both vehicles to rollover. The Suburban rolled onto the other side of the freeway, but avoided colliding with any other vehicles. The Toyota Avalon landed on the side of the road on its roof.
The names and ages of the victims have not been released, but all seven of the injured individuals were taken to Tobey Hospital with personal injuries.
Investigators have revealed that five of the seven victims were children. Their conditions are currently unknown. Police continue to investigate this rollover crash to determine what caused the two vehicles to collide. Inclement weather may be a factor, but police have yet to confirm whether or not the rainstorm played a role in this serious particular car accident.
