Three-Car Crash on Route 128 in Danvers Sends 2 to Hospital
February 5, 2010 - Danvers - A three-car accident on Route 128 in Danvers yesterday near High Street sent two people to the hospital after their 2010 Toyota Camry lost control and veered into another lane, striking two other vehicles.
According to reports in The Salem News, the driver and the passenger from the Toyota Camry were not wearing seatbelts at the time of the car accident, and while their injuries are believed to be less serious than originally thought, they were still transported to a local hospital.
The car accident victims in the Toyota have since been identified as 31-year-old Maria Correale and 19-year-old Annabell Gomez. Correale was the driver of the Camry. After a car crash, a dog that was also riding in the Toyota escaped the car and began "running around the highway". Thankfully the dog was captured by a patrolman and seemed uninjured from the car crash.
The drivers of the other two vehicles involved in the multi-car accident were not injured in the accident, which is still under investigation by local police. State police Lt. David Wilson does not believe the car accident is related to the recent Toyota recall.
