March 4, 2010 - Framingham - An accident involving a SUV and a semi-truck injured two young children in Framingham on Wednesday morning. According to reports in the MetroWest Daily News, the crash occurred on the Massachusetts Turnpike shortly after exit 12.
Initial reports indicate that 31-year-old Jenny Rodriguez was driving a Toyota RAV4 on the Turnpike when she allegedly cut off the semi-truck, which then caused the truck to crash into her SUV. Rodriguez, who was driving with a suspended license, had two children in her vehicle, and both children suffered personal injuries in the truck accident. The victims were transported to MetroWest Medical Center, where their conditions are currently unknown.
The truck driver's identity has not been released by police, but it does not appear that he or Jenny Rodriguez were injured in the truck accident. Police have filed a host of charges against Rodriguez, including speeding and driving to endanger. She is also facing charges of marked lane violation and driving without a current driver's license. It is unclear if any additional charges will be filed in this serious accident.
