Two Injured in MBTA Crash in Boston
February 10, 2009 - Boston - Two people suffered personal injuries when two MBTA trains collided on the Green Line Tuesday morning. According to TheBostonChannel.com, the accident occurred shortly after 9 a.m., when two Green Line trains crashed into each other near Boylston.
Even though the trains were traveling slowly at the time of the accident, police believe two people were injured in the trash collision. In total, approximately 200 people were on the trains during the train crash. One train operator has claimed responsibility for the crash, but the MBTA still temporarily suspended four employees while they are tested for drugs and alcohol.
We are thankful that this potentially serious train accident did not cause any severe injuries.
