March 10, 2010 - Stoughton - The victim in a serious bicycle accident has been released from the hospital, according to The Enterprise News. Back in February, 38-year-old Michael Hood was hit by a car while riding his bicycle.
Michael Hood was cycling in Stoughton Center when the car accident occurred. He suffered serious personal injuries in the crash, and he was treated initially at Good Samaritan Hospital. His injuries were so severe that he was later transported to the trauma center at Massachusetts General Hospital. He was in the hospital recovering from his injuries for quite some time before he was finally released.
Police have not released the name of the driver in this pedestrian accident, but it's believed that the driver was a male teenager. An accident reconstruction team with the Massachusetts State Police continues to investigate this crash, but they have not released any initial findings. Police have not said if the unidentified driver will face any charges in this serious bicycle accident. More information will be posted if and when it becomes available.
