Yarmouth Senior Driver Crashes Car Into Building

March 11, 2010 - Yarmouth - An elderly driver suffered personal injuries on Tuesday when she crashed her SUV into a doctor's office in Yarmouth. As ABC6.com reports, the driver was driving down Ansel Hallet Road when she lost control of her Toyota RAV4 and crashed into the building. Her red SUV drove up onto a front porch and slammed into a wall near a plastic surgeon's waiting room.

The 70-year-old female driver has not yet been identified by police. She is being treated at Cape Code Hospital for personal injuries she suffered in the crash, but she is expected to survive.

The building housed the office of Dr. Peter Bentivegna, a local plastic surgeon with Seaside Medical. Approximately 6 patients were inside the office at the time of the accident, but the driver of the car was the only one who suffered injuries in the crash. The building sustained extensive damage, with one entire wall near the front door almost completely destroyed.
