Man Suffers Serious Injuries After Being Stabbed in Hyannis Altercatio

February 25, 2010 - Hyannis, Mass. - A man suffered serious personal injuries when his girlfriend's adult son stabbed him during a heated argument on Tuesday afternoon in Hyannis, Mass.

According to Cape Cod Times Nicholas S. Bradshaw, 20, became frustrated while talking to his mother and some friends about money that was owed to him. When his mother's boyfriend asked him to quiet down, Bradshaw pulled a knife on the victim.

Bradshaw reportedly stabbed the man and removed a picture from the wall and broke it over the victim's head. Authorities said that Bradshaw also had a physical altercation with a friend who had tried to prevent the knife attack. The friend suffered a wrist injury and a severe cut to his hand, and had left the scene to seek treatment at a nearby hospital.

The stabbing victim was transported to Cape Cod Hospital for the treatment of serious personal injuries. Bradshaw was arrested and charged with domestic assault and battery, assault by a dangerous weapon, and two counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. He was arraigned on Wednesday at Barnstable District Court.

Authorities have not yet released the names of the injured victims involved in this assault.
