A grand jury in Missouri has presented a 136-count indictment of the former subsidiary of mortgage processor, DocX, and former DocX president Lorraine O. Brown. The indictment alleges that former employees fabricated signatures on hundreds of real estate documents including some involving foreclosure.
"This is the first time any grand jury in the country has indicted a corporation or a high-level executive at a corporation for 'robo-signing,"
Missori Attorney General Chris Koster told the Huffington Post. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/02/07/robo-signing-docx-missouri_n_1261369.html
Fabricating signatures on documents, better known as robo-singing, has been brought to light recently through the $25 Billion settlement in which 40 state attorey generals signed along with 5 major banks related to foreclosure abuses, specifically robo-signing.
