Woman Suffers Head Injuries in Danvers Truck Accident

February 12, 2010 - Danvers, Mass. - A woman suffered personal injuries, including head injuries, when a tractor trailer struck her sport utility vehicle Tuesday morning in Danvers, Mass.

According to The Salem News Isabel Quiroz, 25, was rushed to Beverly Hospital after the semi-truck slammed into her 2000 Chevrolet Tracker near Interstate 95 north and Route 114 East. The SUV rolled over in the accident, buckling the windshield and crushing the roof of the vehicle.

Quiroz was wearing her seatbelt, but suffered head injuries as the SUV rolled over several times after impact.

After striking Quiroz's SUV, the truck also clipped the back of a 2007 Lexus sedan, which was driven by 50-year-old Gregory Klemmer, who fortunately was not injured in the crash.

The driver of the truck, David Avila, 36, was uninjured in the 3 vehicle accident. His 1997 Freightliner was on its way from Jaspi Transport in Monroe Township, N.J.

Charges have not yet been filed in this highway truck crash, and it is unclear what set the accident into motion. Authorities continue to investigate the collision.
